This was my first walking sim game and I was very drawn to it from start to finish. It opened the doors for me to things like “firewatch” and “vanishing of ethan carter”. Awesome write up! I love that you’re covering short indie classics

Great read, I had an awareness of this game as an 'important' one, but I had no idea about the meta commentary associated with it. Horrible dickheads then and now I guess x

Sounds like a fascinating game. You have a real penchant for ‘walking sim’ type games it seems. Not a criticism.

The fact that the only discourse you could find on YouTube speaks volumes - how dare you show homophobes as nasty bigots, they decreed in the nastiest most bigoted way possible. People love to tell on themselves.

Thanks for another great review, this sounds like the kind of game I would love to sit with uninterrupted for several hours and scope out every nook and cranny of the house until I had turned out every drawer and looked under every bed.

It's true, I do love a walking sim. They tell such beautiful stories.

I've never played either, but it sounds like similar vibes to Life is Strange?

I haven't played Life is Strange but that is definitely more "game" than Gone Home. I do want to play it though.
