Sounds like a great little game - I love the way you describe the combat system, sounds very engaging! Not being able to stand back and spam ranged attacks, but also encouraging using the ranged by building up your mana charges is a cool concept.
> Despite my personal frustration, I think it’s a really neat system, though they might have been afraid to properly commit to it because even though I did fairly minimal exploring until right near the end of the game, I still had nine spare seeds at the end and only one pot I hadn’t planted in.
There's actually exactly as many seeds as there are pots! It's one of the tasks you have to complete to get to the "secret ending".
This is one of my favorites, it was so charming and pleasant to play. I got 100% in 13.5 hours, enjoyed every moment of it. I especially loved the "defeat 4 waves" rooms to unlock new powers, those were a real treat to figure out.
I wanna be a lil guy
It's on Switch and PlayStation, you totally can be a lil guy.
This is on a steam sale at the moment. I added it to my wish list after reading this and am looking forward to playing this afternoon.
Really hope you enjoy it as much as I did :D

I do wanna be just a little guy, though.
Yeah I found the combat so fun. And being a lil guy is just....chefs kiss

Oh neat! I guess I missed some pots then. I do want to go back and do more exploring actually, it's not getting immediately uninstalled.
